PVA TePla Group announces new CEO

PVA TePla Group, headquartered in Wettenberg, Germany, has announced that Dr. Arno Knebelkamp has become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the retirement of founder and long-time CEO Peter Abel.
At the company’s Annual General Meeting on June 30 it was announced that Knebelkamp, who joined the company in April 2011, would take the position of CEO as of July 1, 2011.
PVA TePla builds systems for the vacuum and pressure sintering of hard metals. The company also manufacturers systems for crystal growing as well as plasma systems for surface activation and ultra-fine cleaning.
Peter Abel, the founder and long-time CEO of the PVA TePla Group, took the opportunity to bid farewell personally to the company’s shareholders as a member of the Management Board. He will continue to be available to PVA TePla as a strategic consultant and will remain a major shareholder.
Knebelkamp introduced himself as the new CEO of PVA TePla AG and discussed the short- and medium-term market prospects for the individual divisions of PVA TePla, among other matters. He confirmed the forecast of consolidated annual sales revenues of €120 million to €130 million and an EBIT margin of 8-10%, each at the upper end of the projected range.
