POWDERMET2018 paper submissions deadline draws near

Call for Papers issued for POWDERMET2018 San Antonio Powder Metallurgy showPaper submissions for POWDERMET2018 close on November 3, 2017. Organised by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), the International Conference on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials is set to take place June 17-20, 2018 in San Antonio, USA. Both oral and poster presentations are requested for inclusion in the technical programme.

The MPIF states that all submissions should be original and unpublished work addressing recent advances in the full spectrum of Powder Metallurgy and materials technologies. The categories include:

  • Design and Modelling of PM Materials, Components and Processes
  • Particulate Production
  • General Compaction and Forming Processes
  • Powder Injection Moulding  (Metals & Ceramics)
  • Pre-Sintering and Sintering
  • Secondary Operations
  • Materials
  • Refractory Metals, Carbides & Ceramics
  • Advanced Particulate Materials and Processes
  • Material Properties
  • Test and Evaluation
  • Applications
  • Management Issues

In addition to the regular technical sessions and posters, several special interest programs are being organised. Presentations in these programmes are intended for invited presentations only. The planned Special Interest Program topics are:

  • Battery Technology: Future PM Applications
  • Tungsten & Refractory Metals
  • Machinability
  • Advancements for High-Density Components

POWDERMET2018 will include an international exhibition focused on the Powder Metallurgy, Powder Injection Moulding, particulate materials and metal Additive Manufacturing industries.
