Jim Dale, Vice-President of Member and Industry Relations, Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), will be featured in a video presentation on powder metallurgy (PM) during the GlobalSpec “Machine Tools & Metal Working” e-vent on August 10, 2011. This free online conference and trade show will also feature their virtual exhibit hall, networking lounge, and resource center.

Dale’s presentation, “Driving Success through Powder Metallurgy,” will run between 12:30 and 1:15 PM EDT. The presentation will detail how evolution in powder production and performance as well as PM processing equipment have dramatically expanded the options enabling successful PM solutions to metal component design needs. High volume and tight tolerances are the sweet spots for this alternative to machining, casting, stamping and forging.

To register for this free online event, go to www.globalspec.com/events  and click on REGISTER FOR EVENTS. The full event runs from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM EDT, but all presentations will also be archived on the GlobalSpec Web site for later viewing. The online event is a cost-efficient way to learn about the latest in machine tools and metal working technology.

MPIF is an internationally recognized trade association for the metal powder producing and consuming industries. Known internationally as a leading source of information about the PM industry and PM technology, MPIF serves the interests of the worldwide PM community.
