Polema reports increased production volume in the first half of 2021

August 16, 2021

Powder Metallurgy plant Polema, affiliated to Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH), headquartered in Moscow, Russia, has increased production by 20% in the first half of 2021, compared to the same period last year, with the company reporting its earnings have exceeded 1 billion RUB (11.5 million Euro).

During the reporting period, Polema states that it has produced 347 tons of products. The production of reduced powders increased by 69%, atomised powders by 45%, the production of molybdenum parts increased by 20% and chromium products by 18%.

The volume of investments amounted to 50 million RUB (579,000 Euro). Included in the company’s main implemented projects is the installation of new equipment for plasma cladding and the purchase of CNC turning and machining centres for the production of rollers for roller guides.

“We’re meeting the anniversary year with good results,” stated Aleksey Filippov, CEO of Polema. “The enterprise has increased production and expanded the range of products. A new direction has also appeared at our plant. It’s the production of rollers for guides of the rolling mills. Our nearest future plans include launching local water treatment facilities for industrial wastewaters, which will completely eliminate the discharge of wastewater to the treatment facilities of Tulachermet, as well as increase the degree of their treatment.”
