PM Life, a new training initiative aimed at helping to develop a skilled Powder Metallurgy workforce, is expected to launch in 2018. The programme will be organised by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA), with support from a number of partners in industry and academia.
The course will be run over five weeks, which can be taken consecutively or separately, with an optional internship at a Powder Metallurgy company. Full details have yet to be announced, but the organisers have listed the following topics and locations:
- Powder & hard metal, Goteburg, Sweden
- Press and sinter, Grenoble, France
- Metal Injection Moulding, Madrid, Spain
- Metal Additive Manufacturing, Dresden, Germany
- Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), Coventry, UK
According to the EPMA, PM Life will offer participants the choice to attend either the full programme or only those training sessions relevant to their field.
