The PM China 2014 exhibition took place from April 27-29 2014 at the Everbright Centre, Shanghai. In recent years the event has grown in both size and importance to become China’s largest trade exhibition dedicated to Powder Metallurgy and related technologies.

Maggie Song, from the PM China 2014 organizing committee, told Powder Metallurgy Review, “We thank all the exhibitors and visitors who attended the event. Exhibitors and professional visitors from over 15 different countries witnessed PM China 2014’s success and it proved once again to be the biggest and most professional PM, ceramics and cemented carbide exhibition in China.”

Following a formal opening ceremony in which association leaders and experts from China and overseas made welcome addresses, the exhibition opened to a record number of visitors.

The latest manufacturing equipment, as well as materials used in Powder Metallurgy and Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) production, was on show. In addition the latest innovations in structural PM component production, visitors were able to take a closer look at the latest developments in porous materials, advanced friction products, hardmetals and coating technologies.

Conference sessions were also held as part of the 2014 Shanghai (China) Injection Molding Symposium and the 2014 China PM Industry Forum. Meetings of China’s Ceramic Association and Cemented Carbides Association also took place.

A social highlight of the event was a special MIM industry banquet hosted by Arburg GmbH + Co KG, BASF SE and Cremer Thermoprozessanlagen GmbH which offered excellent opportunities for networking and information exchange.

Maggie Song concluded, “Most exhibitors expressed their satisfaction about the exhibition and visitors said they could find the information they need easily. It is planed that the exhibition scale will be expanded and we hope to see you there again in April 2015”.
