Southeast Asian office

The office will be headed by Isao Nishida who has worked for the Plansee Group for some 13 years. Nishida is an experienced specialist for molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum and niobium and all their applications. The high-temperature strength, corrosion resistance, high density and low coefficient of thermal expansion mean that these metals have become an indispensable part of many industries, stated Plansee.

“Our metals are used in a wide variety of applications,” commented Nishida. “Our materials are used to provide hard material coatings for tools. Our wire is used to manufacture tantalum capacitors for electronic components. And many companies need our components for their MOCVD systems, ion implanters or high-temperature furnaces.”

The Plansee Group is headquartered in Austria and has production plants and sales offices in more than 20 different countries. “Geographical proximity remains an important aspect of our service offering, even in the digital age. Having our own office in Singapore simply allows us to provide a better service to our customers in Southeast Asia,” stated Andreas Feichtinger, Head of Marketing and Sales Organisation at Plansee.
