Skip Klatt

It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of Skip Klatt. Well known in the powder metallurgy industry, Skip Klatt (57), was the long time VP Sales of American Chemet.

Skip passed away on November 21, after an 18 month battle with Lymphoma and Leukemia.  Skip was an owner of Chemet and its subsidiary Royal Metal Powders, served on its boards and committees for more than 30 years.

“Skip’s vision and enthusiasm for the company led its successful growth and diversification efforts during the past two decades. Skip was an avid fisherman and extremely active volunteer to the Boy Scouts; being a Silver Beaver and Order of the Arrow recipient.  He loved Chemet, its past and present employees, agents and customers. He knew no strangers. Skip was one of the good guys and will be missed,” stated Kim Klatt.
