Osterwalder AG, Lyss, Switzerland, has announced that it will be holding Technology Days at its facility in Lyss, from May 8–10, 2019. The three-day event will showcase Osterwalder’s range of powder compacting presses, as well as giving attendees the opportunity to experience live demonstrations.

Osterwalder specialises in manufacturing servo-electric, hydraulic and hybrid powder presses and its products offer system solutions for pressing iron, ceramic, tungsten carbide powders and other materials to small precision parts or sophisticated structural parts.

Also on show will be the company’s new OPP 2000 CNC multi-platen electric press launched in 2018, which it states is the first CNC multi-platen electric press for high press forces, ranging from 1,000–5,000 kN. Key features of the press are said to include an 80% saving in energy consumption and a gain in productivity with 98% uptime.

In addition, Osterwalder will also demonstrate its new imPRESSive HMI system, and its solutions for industry 4.0.

The three-day event will feature presentations and live demonstrations on key topics including:

  • The latest developments in rod production for precision cutting tools
  • Split die application
  • Support for upgrading productivity
  • Innovations in production technology

Further information on the event is available on the company website.
