The EPMA’s PM Summer School 2018 will take place in Vienna, Austria

Registration for the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA)’s PM Summer School 2018 will close on May 2, 2018. Set to take place in Vienna, Austria, July 2-6, 2018, the popular course is open to young scientists, designers and engineers looking to gain a broader knowledge and understanding of the Powder Metallurgy process and applications.

The five-day residential course consists of a range of lectures given by PM experts drawn from both industry and academia. Topics to be covered will include Additive Manufacturing, the manufacture of metal powders, powder compaction, Metal Injection Moulding (MIM), modelling, sintering, and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP). Participants will have the opportunity to discuss and solve problems as well as gaining hands-on experience of various PM processes.

The Summer School is designed for young graduate designers, engineers and scientists from disciplines such as materials science, design, engineering, manufacturing or metallurgy. Graduates under thirty-five, who have obtained their degree from a European institution, are eligible to apply.
