October 2010 shows sustained traffic growth and an increasing readership for ipmd.net

Following the launch of the ipmd.net e-newsletter in September 2010, traffic to the www.ipmd.net website has seen sustained growth. Figures for October 2010 indicate that ipmd.net received more than 3500 unique visits during the month, generating in excess of 7000 page loads.

Paul Whittaker, Editor of ipmd.net, stated “Since the launch of our new weekly e-newsletter for the powder metallurgy industry ipmd.net has seen a significant increase in traffic, thanks to the diverse range of news stories and short reports that we are making available free of charge.”

“We now receive an average of 150 unique visits a day, rising substantially in the midweek period when our newsletter is sent out, and numbers are still growing. The subscriber list for our free e-newsletter, which currently stands at more than 5000, is itself growing by more than 150 people a month.”

The ipmd.net website has already succeeded in attracting a global audience. October 2010 visitor data shows that North and South America attracted 31% of visitors, Europe 39%, Asia and Pacific Rim 25% and the Middle East and Africa 5%.

Based on current visitor traffic, more than 54,000 visits are expected over the next 12 months, generating in excess of 100,000 page loads.
