GKN Sinter Metals has received a ‘Perfect Quality Award’ from Nexteer Automotive, a global supplier of steering and driveline systems headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, USA. The award was presented to GKN’s Salem, Indiana, facility at the Nexteer’s annual supplier conference.

Each year Nexteer recognises those who set the standards of exceptional quality performance among the company’s supplier community. To quality for the award, GKN Sinter Metals is said to have supplied products with zero defects over a twelve-month period.

GKN has partnered with Nexteer for over thirty years and produces components for hydraulic power steering pumps manufactured by Nexteer. The Perfect Quality Award is recognition of top quality performance between the two companies.

“We are honoured that our customer has recognized us for our quality performance. This award validates the impact of the great technology development we’ve progressed in our PM division and reassures us that our processes are successful and effective,” stated Dave Hickoff, Americas Sales Director.
