New Pometon subsidiary in India
February 8, 2012
Pometon S.p.A., the Italian producer of ferrous and non-ferrous powders for the PM industry, has announced the opening of a subsidiary in Pune, India.
The company states that the decision was taken with the goal of establishing a permanent presence to serve the “constantly increasing market in India”. This facility will be Pometon’s fifth commercial facility outside of Italy, following the opening of subsidiaries in Germany, Spain, Turkey and the UK. Mr. Virendra Sud is now leading the new team in India.
In 2010 Pometon received an EPMA award for its ECOSINT powder range, consisting of new high performance steel powders that use lower quantities of alloying elements, offering increased hardenability and versatility. This, stated the company, enhances Powder Metallurgy part production and reduces overall production costs.
