MPIF’s ‘Distinguished Service to Powder Metallurgy Awards’

The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) presented a number of PM industry professionals with a ‘Distinguished Service to Powder Metallurgy Award’ during the 2011 International Conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials.

Established in 1968, the award recognises North American individuals who have worked a minimum of 25 years in the PM industry and whose long-term contributions and achievements deserve special recognition.

This year awards were presented to:

  • Animesh Bose, FAPMI, President, Materials Processing Inc., Haltom City, Texas
  • David R. Connelly, Chief Executive Officer, Precision Powdered Metal Parts Inc., Pomona, California
  • John J. DiCicco, President, Major Powdered Metal Technologies Inc., Livonia, Michigan
  • Ian Donaldson, Director of R&D N.A. & Materials Engineering, GKN Sinter Metals, Jefferson, Massachusetts
  • Chaman Lall, Vice President of Technology & Applications Development, Metal Powder Products Company, Westfield, Indiana
  • Louis W. Lherbier, Director of Technical Market Development, Carpenter Powder Products Inc., Bridgeville, Pennsylvania
  • Timothy J. McCabe, Manager of Technology Development, Kinetics Climax Inc., A Division of Freeport-McMoRan Company, Wilsonville, Oregon
