MPIF 2016 Design Excellence award entries open to review

The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has sponsored a Powder Metallurgy Design Excellence Awards competition since 1965, in which parts makers from among the MPIF’s member companies are invited to submit components that demonstrate the possibilities Powder Metallurgy technology.
This year, MPIF received 24 submissions from nine member companies. The award winning parts will be announced during the annual technical conference POWDERMET2016’s PM Design Excellence Awards Luncheon.
The parts were reviewed in February by a panel of judges with criteria based on design configuration (40%), engineering properties (40%) and promotional value (20%). All submissions are available for review online here.
