MDM Engineering Group Limited (MDM), a minerals process and project management company focused on the mining industry, has signed an agreement with Atomising Systems Limited (ASL) of Sheffield, UK, to exclusively market ASL’s specialised atomising equipment and technology.

ASL specialises in atomising melts with temperatures from 150°C – 2000°C to make powders from 10μm – 1mm. As well as metals, ASL has also processed non-metals such as oxides, sulphides, halides (chlorides), silicates, borates etc.

MDM has secured the exclusive rights for Sub-Saharan Africa, and since signing the technology agreement MDM’s Senior Project Manager, David Norval, has received three Expressions of Interests to implement ASL’s technology of which one has already culminated in a project.

Martin Smith, MDM CEO stated, “MDM look forward to a long working relationship with ASL and we are excited about securing its first technology supply agreement, which we believe will open the door to a new area of business for MDM, while enhancing our offering to existing customers.”

MDM state that the atomising processes and equipment will compliment its alloy and slag granulation processes, and forms part of the range of process solutions which MDM provides to its customers worldwide.
