Manel Pérez Latre, Chief Operating Officer at PMG, retires after 26 years

Manel Pérez Latre, Chief Operating Officer at PMG Group, headquartered in Füssen, Germany, has left the company after twenty-six years. Latre joined PMG in 1998, leading the operations in Mexico, and later PMG Polmetasa. During these years, he and his team has contributed significantly to the development of the shock absorber lines in PMG Pennsylvania and PMG Shanghai.
Later, Pérez Latre held the responsibility for the global Shock Absorber business. In 2023, he was nominated Group Chief Operating Officer and took care of all plant-related functions such as Lean Management, Industrial Engineering, and Quality/HSE in addition to overall operations responsibility of the standardised plant organisation.
Within his role as COO, he took a special focus on operational excellence and lean production systems, as well as on the further development of PMG’s culture and fundamental values.
With over forty years of experience in the industry, at CEIPM2023 — the Spanish and Ibero-American Congress of Powder Metallurgy — Pérez Latre was awarded for his contributions to the field.
