Magna opens new engineering centre in Shenyang, China

Magna International Inc., has announced that its Magna Steyr operating unit will open a new engineering centre located in the Tiexi District of Shenyang, China.
At full capacity, the new 1,050 m2 Shenyang engineering centre will accommodate more than 100 engineers and will assist automakers with various vehicle engineering projects.
Karl-Friedrich Stracke, President Fahrzeugtechnik & Engineering of Magna Steyr, stated, “This new engineering centre demonstrates the execution of our global growth strategy and is an important step to position Magna Steyr for further expansion with customers located in the northern part of China.”
Magna Steyr began its operations in China in 2004. In addition to today’s announcement, Magna Steyr’s footprint in China includes engineering locations in Shanghai, Wuhan, and Changchun. With nearly 500 employees, Magna Steyr is currently one of the leading automotive engineering service suppliers in the China market.
