Linde to present new atmosphere mixing technology for heat treatment furnaces
September 26, 2017
Linde LLC, New Jersey, USA, states that it will present a new atmosphere mixing technology for heat treatment furnaces at the 29th biennial Heat Treating Society Conference and Exposition, taking place October 24-26, 2017, Greater Columbus Convention Center, Ohio, USA. Linde states that the new technology can boost unit productivity and improve convection in heat treatment furnaces without the use of fans.
In a presentation titled ‘Heat Treatment with a Turbulent Twist’, Akin Malas, Linde’s Head of Metals & Glass, Applications Technology, will look at three case studies of a new high-speed gas injection technology designed to improve the uniformity of furnace atmosphere, thus improving product quality.
At booth #2236 in the exhibit hall, Linde will showcase three gas-process technologies designed to respond to treatment challenges:
- CARBOJETTM gas-injection atmosphere mixing technology for most types of heat treatment furnaces.
- ADDvanceTM O2 precision atmosphere monitoring of powder bed fusion processes for high-quality additive manufacturing.
- CRYOFLEX® cryogenic treatment for case hardening and other sub-zero temperature treatments.
Visitors to the booth will also have the opportunity to take a ‘Virtual Reality Tour’ through one of Linde’s Air Separation Units.
Malas’ presentation detailing the new technology is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 26, 11:30AM in room A213-215.
