Japan sees fall in powder shipments in first five months of 2013

The Japan Powder Metallurgy Association (JPMA) has issued statistics which show that iron powder shipments for powder metallurgy (PM) components fell by 8.5% to 43,082 tonnes in the period January to May 2013, compared with the same period in 2012.
There was a more modest fall in the shipments of copper-based powders for PM parts and bearings in the five month period, at 4728 tonnes (4796 tonnes).
