Jan Söderström promoted to President and CEO of Avure Technologies, LLC

Having joined the company in July 2012 as President of the Avure Technologies Industrial Division, Jan Söderström has been promoted to President and CEO of Avure Technologies, LLC. In this new role, Söderström, an expert in restructuring and driving the growth of international businesses, assumes responsibility for both the Industrial and Food business units. He has also been appointed to the Avure Technologies Board of Directors.

Avure is a global leader in contained ultra high pressure, the enabling technology behind some of the world’s most critical materials and products, from aircraft parts to pathogen-free foods. Over the past five years, the company has seen an ongoing surge in demand for its high pressure presses.

Last year, the privately held company reported the best annual performance in its 58-year history, moving into 2012 with record bookings in both the Industrial and Food divisions.

“Avure’s strong performance has been a very bright spot against the backdrop of worldwide economic uncertainty, and the potential of the global market remains huge,” Söderström commented. “I look forward to reinforcing Avure’s position of thought leadership and taking the company to the next level of growth.”

Prior to joining Avure in July 2012, Söderström was Managing Director for BAE Systems Global Combat Systems, Vehicles. He previously held a number of general management positions, primarily with the industrial corporation ABB. He will be based in the Industrial Group headquarters in Västerås, Sweden.
