This year’s ISO plenary meeting with Technical Committee 119 and the Subcommittees will be held from 11 – 13 September in Stockholm, Sweden. The meeting is scheduled to take place prior to the Euro PM2013 Congress & Exhibition held the week after in Gothenburg. The ISO meeting in Stockholm is hosted by SIS, representing ISO in Sweden.

Invitations to the meeting have been issued to ISO members. For more information, or to become a member of ISO, interested parties are encouraged to contact their national ISO organisation.

Seminar/Workshop on the potential for standardization of PM gears

On the morning September 11, 09.00 – 14.00, a special workshop will be held on the potential for standardisation of PM gears. The workshop is a result of in-depth discussions between users of gears and manufacturers in the value chain of PM gears, highlighting quality requirements for PM gears to further open this huge market for actors in the field of Powder Metallurgy.

The aim of the seminar/workshop is to establish a common understanding of the requirements for testing and characterisation methods of PM gears as an input to an ISO working group with the task to develop a new standard. In group discussions the participants will have the opportunity to give their contribution to the scope and content of a method which will be used in the continued work towards a standardised method.
