Organisers of the International Porous and Powder Materials Symposium and Exhibition, PPM 2013, to be held in Izmir, Turkey, September 3-6, 2013, have issued a ‘Call for Papers’.

PPM 2013 will be held in the Turkish resort of Izmir

The aim of the symposium is to create an environment for scientific and technological discussions and exchange ideas between academia and industry on fundamental aspects of characterisation, manipulation, production and usage of porous and powder materials.

The symposium is anticipated to be one of the largest gatherings of its kind with a broad attendance from academia, research organisations, and industry.

The main themes to be covered by the symposium are summarised as follows:

  • Development and Characterization

    Organic, Polymeric, Metallic, Ceramic, Composite, Natural PPMs…
  • Catalytic Aspects
  • Environmental and Hygienic Aspects

    Waste Treatment, Filtration, Odour Control, Hygienic Additives…
  • Biological and Medical Aspects

    Pharmaceutical, Bio-materials, Bio-membranes, Implants, Drug delivery…
  • Transport and Surface Chemistry

    Adsorption, Transport, Wetting,  Coatings and Paints,  Stability and Agglomeration, Self Assembly…
  • Modelling and Simulation
  • Industrial Applications

    Heat and Sound Insulation, Coating, Ceramics, Filtration, Packaging, Storage, Filling Materials, Construction, Textile, Analytical Equipments, Metallurgy, Composite Materials, Defence and Aerospace…
