GOM 3D Metrology Conference 2017
June 27, 2017
This year’s GOM 3D Metrology Conference will run from September 26 – 27, 2017, at the company’s headquarters in Braunschweig, Germany. The two-day event is an established forum for metrologists, executives and experts from research and industry. More than 600 experts from 40 countries are expected to attend.
Optical measuring technology has become a standard in both 3D testing applications for materials and components and full-field inspection of parts using 3D coordinate measuring technology. The international conference focuses on current developments and latest technologies, which are shown in user presentations and through live demonstrations.
During the event, OEMs such as Audi, BMW, Opel, Porsche and VW will report on their usage of 3D measuring data for component testing and quality assurance in automotive engineering. In biomechanics, 3D measuring data supports materials testing and production control of medical products from companies such as Arthrex as well as in research centres. Furthermore, Boeing, Liebherr-Aerospace and Rolls-Royce will present the inspection of complex engine structures and aircraft components.
The GOM 3D Metrology Conference is free to attend and there will be technical exhibition held alongside the event.
