GM quality award for PMG Asturias

September 24, 2013

PMG Asturias Powder Metal SAU, Mieres, Spain, has been awarded the General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award for 2013. According to General Motors, the award is given to specific supplier locations with only GM’s top-performing suppliers being eligible to receive this award.

Suppliers who receive this award have met or exceeded a stringent set of quality performance criteria and have achieved the cross-functional support of the entire GM organisation.

“I would like to thank General Motors for this honour in the name of PMG Asturias. Customisation is the keyword within the PMG group. Each of our components and systems is an individually tailored solution. PMG supports its customers globally, with local R&D centres, production plants and sales offices. A close partnership between customer and supplier will always be the key to success for both parties,” stated Néstor Martínez Garcia, Managing Director PMG Asturias.

PMG is headquartered in Füssen, Germany, and currently has six plants in four countries (Germany, Spain, USA, China). The group employs around 1250 people and has annual turnover of around €210 million. The company manufactures a wide range of sintered components and systems for the automotive industry.
