GKN’s Michael Marucci awarded ASM Silver Medal

Michael Marucci, Global VP, Advanced Technology, GKN Powder Metallurgy, Hoeganaes, New Jersey, USA, has been awarded the 2017 ASM Silver Medal by the ASM International Board of Trustees.
Established in 2010, the ASM Silver Medal of the Society provides recognition to ASM members who are in mid-career positions (typically having 5-15 years of experience), for distinguished contributions in the field of materials science and engineering, and to the society.
The purpose of the award is to recognise leadership at an early stage and encourage individuals to grow, nurture and further contribute to the growth of the profession. According to the Board of Trustees, Marucci received the medal “For technical achievement in development of new Powder Metallurgy steel products and management achievements in developing a world class Powder Metallurgy research organisation.”
The awards will be presented at ASM’s Annual Awards Dinner during Materials Science & Technology 2017 (MS&T ’17) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, October 10.
