GKN to showcase latest PM components at Frankfurt motor show

GKN Powder Metallurgy has announced it will showcase a range of innovative PM components at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show IAA, September 15-16, 2015. Visitors to GKN’s booth will be able to see how Powder Metallurgy technology is influencing emerging and future drivetrain development and how the company’s products contribute to reducing emissions.

“We are confident that our powder metal innovations continue to enable improved system solutions for our customers and automotive consumers,” stated Guido Degen, SVP Business Development & Advanced Technologies.

On display will be a range of technologies and products including components made via Additive Manufacturing, forged PM bevel gears, densified PM helical gears, soft magnetic composites used in new electric motors and hydrogen storage systems.
