GKN Sinter Metals recognised with 2017 Pierburg Supplier Award

GKN Sinter Metals’ teams in the US, Brazil, Italy and China have reportedly received the 2017 Pierburg Supplier Award “for outstanding support in a global growth project.”
A brand of Rheinmetall Automotive since 1986, Pierburg has been a tier one supplier to the automotive industry since beginning carburettor production in 1928. Within Rheinmetall Automotive, Pierburg now specialises in emission control, air supply, throttle valves and solenoid valves.
The Pierburg Supplier Award is the latest in a number of quality awards given to GKN Sinter Metals. In November, 2017, Nexteer Automotive recognised the company with a ‘Perfect Quality Award’, while tier-one automotive supplier Jatco made it the recipient of its Regional Quality Award in August, 2017. In June 2017, Somfy, a manufacturer of automatic awning and shutter systems, awarded GKN Sinter Metals ‘Best Supplier’ for its quality performance.
