Exedy supplies manual clutches, torque converters, products for construction and agricultural machinery, performance sport racing clutches and other automotive products. GKN Sinter Metals supplies Exedy with a torque converter one way clutch stator assembly.

Automatic transmissions rely on a torque multiplying system called a torque converter. An integrated one way clutch system locks up to deliver the initial increased torque, then turns freely when cruising speeds are reached. GKN supplies Powder Forged torque converter one way clutch components fully assembled for many applications and designs.

“Exedy is a significant customer to GKN Sinter Metals Gallipolis plant. Fulfilling their quality and delivery expectations in turn, helps us to reinforce customer relations and positions GKN for the possibility of future opportunities,” stated Doug Shinkle, Sales Director.
