GKN Sinter Metals exhibits at Hannover fair

April 29, 2014

Germany’s Hannover Messe is the world’s largest industrial trade fair, this year attracting over 180,000 visitors from more than 100 different countries during its five days from April 7-11. There were some 5000 exhibitors at the fair, with a focus on Industrial Automation & IT, Energy & Environmental Technology, Industrial Supply and R&D.

Powder Metallurgy parts maker GKN Sinter Metals exhibited at this year’s show and reported an excellent response to its booth, with much interest in the many PM components it displayed. The company showcased a range of Powder Metallurgy applications such as hydraulic parts and start-stop gears, e-Motor applications and sintered bearings, amongst others.

GKN reported that its booth received an international audience of highly-qualified professionals and top-level decision makers mainly from the industrial sector, but also from the automotive industry. The company stated that visitors were greatly interested in the exhibited products, especially in Metal Injection Moulding and Filters components.

“This was indeed one of our best trade shows so far,” stated Christoph Adler, GKN Sales Manager. “At the Hannover Messe we have encountered a really wide-ranging audience and got a better insight into some promising industrial niche markets. The majority of our conversations with visitors was at a high technical level and focused on the feasibility of components or technical issues for future projects.”
