Gasbarre Products, Inc., has announced the acquisition of Major Gauge & Tool, formerly Major Powered Metal Technologies, of Livonia, MI, USA.

Through the acquisition, Major Gauge & Tool joins McKee Carbide Tool, located in Olanta, Pennsylvania, to form the Gasbarre Tool Group under the leadership of its President Randy Allenbaugh.

Major Gauge & Tool has supplied the global Powder Metallurgy Industry with innovative tool design for more than 60 years. They design and manufacture tooling for all conventional and multi-level presses used in the PM process including mould, coin, size, warm-forming and hot forge applications.

Major Gauge & Tool manufactures tooling for presses up to 1650 tons. Major’s strong tool design capability and high tonnage tooling capacity, combined with their expertise in helical gears and warm form tooling, is key to their core business.

Gasbarre Products Inc. began in 1973 and was driven to design, manufacture and service a complete line of powder compaction and sizing presses for the powdered metal and particulate materials industries. Since then, Gasbarre Products, Inc. has diversified their product lines for start-to-finish manufacturing including the Tooling, Press, and Furnace groups.

The acquisition of Major Gauge & Tool is an important strategic move to create the Gasbarre Tool Group as the leading tool design and manufacturing source for the Powder Metallurgy industry.
