The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has announced that Alex T Gasbarre, CEO, Gasbarre Products, Inc., headquartered in DuBois, Pennsylvania, USA, has been elected president of the Powder Metallurgy Equipment Association (PMEA).

Gasbarre’s two-year term began at the end of the federation’s annual Powder Metallurgy Management Summit and 77th Annual MPIF Business Meeting, October 22–24, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. He is a graduate of Penn State University and the duration of his professional career has been spent in the Powder Metallurgy industry. He has served on the MPIF Industry Development Board, PMEA Board of Directors, and chaired the MPIF PM Parts Compacting & Tooling Seminar.

The PMEA is one of six trade associations under the MPIF formed by the Powder Metallurgy industry to advance the interests of the metal powder producing and consuming industries.
