Freeman Technology to host powder flowability webinar

May 8, 2019

Freeman Technology, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, UK, a powder flow specialist company, is set to host a free webinar titled; ‘Working with Powders – How Comprehensive Characterisation can Optimise your Process,’ on May 29, 2019, at 15:00 (BST).

The company has twenty years of experience in the field of powder characterisation and designed and introduced what it believes to be the world’s only powder rheometer in the year 2000. In addition to the development of powder testing instruments, Freeman Technology has invested in powder research and development to develop solutions to a range of powder processing challenges.

The free webinar is expected to be the first in a series which will be hosted by Tim Freeman, Managing Director of Freeman Technology, who will introduce the challenges associated with understanding and predicting powder flowability and examine how quantifying powder behaviour can improve process performance.

Powder Metallurgy:The original net-shape production process

Powder Metallurgy components are relied upon by a wide variety of manufacturing industries, from automotive to power tools, household appliances, chemical engineering, filtration and more.

The main reason for the technology’s success is its cost-effectiveness at producing high volumes of net-shape components, combined with its ability to allow the manufacture of products that, because of the production processes, simply cannot be manufactured by other methods.
