Freeman Technology to host Powder Flow Seminar this September

August 1, 2018

Powder characterisation specialist Freeman Technology, a Micromeritics company, headquartered in Gloucestershire, UK, will host a Powder Flow Seminar at the Akzent Hotel Franziskaner in Dettelbach, Germany, on September 12, 2018. The free one-day event is designed to introduce delegates to the benefits of powder rheology and will include presentations from Daniel Weber, Product Manager at Freeman Technology, covering:

  • an introduction to understanding powder flow and behaviour
  • an evaluation of uniaxial testing to assess and rank powder flowability
  • a review of Process Analytical Technology for in-line assessment of powder behaviour.

Delegates will also hear from guest speakers including Heiko Sievers, Country Manager for Germany at Micromeritics, who will discuss the influence of particle size, shape, surface area, density and porosity on powder behaviour, and Marcel Langner, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, who will look at fluidised bed coating process optimisation. Those attending the seminar will also have the opportunity to view a demonstration of Freeman Technology’s FT4 Powder Rheometer®.

Freeman Technology has over fifteen years’ experience in powder flow and powder characterisation. Its systems are said to be installed around the world across a diverse range of industries, and deliver data to maximise process and product understanding, thereby accelerating R&D and formulation towards successful commercialisation, and supporting the long term optimisation of powder processes. In 2007, the company received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation and in 2012, this was followed by the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

The full seminar agenda is available to download from the company website.
