Exponential Technologies partners with Aubert & Duval to advance industrial AM
October 25, 2021
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) solutions provider Exponential Technologies Ltd. (xT), based in Riga, Latvia, has partnered with Aubert & Duval, Paris, France, to accelerate the industrialisation of Additive Manufacturing and reduce barriers to deploying AM technologies at scale.
The collaboration aims to include Aubert & Duval’s metal powder products for Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) applications into xT’s AM machine parameter development platform: xT AMi. The addition of AM machine and material-specific information to the xT AMi platform is said to reduce necessary real-life experimentation by up to 90% and allows faster go-to-market times for AM products.
“We are happy to welcome Aubert & Duval to our xT AMi platform,” stated Matthias Kaiser, CEO of xT. “We are especially proud of the fact that from now on, customers of Aubert & Duval will only require minimal real-life experimentation to develop or customise printer parameters. In the long run the xT AMi platform will benefit all stakeholders in the AM space as it will reduce entry barriers and boost the growth of the market as a whole.”
Peter Vikner, Aubert & Duval’s Metal Powders Product Manager, commented, “At Aubert & Duval we see how new ideas and technologies proposed by innovative start-ups help develop the Additive Manufacturing and we are happy to be able to work with Exponential Technologies Ltd (xT) in their development. The technology they propose is promising and we are eager to see if it can help part makers accelerate the adoption of new materials.”
The beta version of the xT AMi platform will be presented at Formnext 2021, which is scheduled to take place in Frankfurt, Germany, on November 16–19.
