JSPM International Conference on Powder Metallurgy

This year, the Japan Society of Powder and Powder Metallurgy marks the 60th anniversary of its founding. The Society has pursued a variety of activities with the aim of facilitating the development of science and improvement of technology in the field of powder and powder metallurgy as well as the pursuit of such researches.

JSPM has hosted three past Powder Metallurgy World Congress & Exhibition, and has held international conferences concerning Mechanical Alloying, HIP, and Ferrite. Most recently, JSPM hosted the 3rd International Conference on Powder Metallurgy in Asia (APMA2015), with the event attracting numerous researchers and engineers and serving as a venue for the presentation of a range of meaningful research.

This year, we will be hosting the JSPM International Conference on Powder and Powder Metallurgy 60th Anniversary to foster interactions among veterans and young researchers and engineers from Japan and around the world.

The conference will target the fields on which the Society is focused—powder and powder metallurgy—and in addition to calling for technical talks and presentations from around the world, we plan to include talks by invited speakers on topics that are currently attracting attention in the field.

The conference, which will be held in Kyoto during the autumn, will include a conference party at “THE SODOH HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO” near Kodai-ji Zen Temple, where guests can enjoy the city during its most beautiful season.

We hope to welcome as many speakers, presenters, and participants as possible.
