PM Life is a European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) technology training programme aimed at professionals and graduates looking to further develop their career in Powder Metallurgy.

After a pause in proceedings during 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the course will resume this year as a split model in order to facilitate greater participation. The six available technology courses will feature an online aspect dedicated to the fundamentals, and an onsite counterpart dedicated to Practice, both lasting 2–3 days. In the latter segment, most of the time will be divided between lab work, lab & plant visits and networking.

Once both Fundamentals and Practice elements of the same course have been attended, a certificate will be awarded to each trainee.

The topics covered, venue country and respective registration deadlines are as follows:

  • Press & Sinter: Italy, June 22
  • Metal Injection Moulding: Spain, June 29
  • Additive Manufacturing: Germany, July 5
  • Fully Density Processes: France, September 7
  • Metal Powders: Sweden, September 14
  • Hard Materials: Spain, September 28

The organisers of the courses aim to ensure that the onsite experience will be both beneficial and safe for all participants, complying with any regulations in the hosting regions.

The EPMA states that it will monitor the COVID-19 situation and will consider changes in the programme whenever needed. Due to constraints, the courses will not accept more than a set number of participants and all registrants will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Participants can choose one or more courses by registering separately for each of interest. Registration is open now via the programme’s website.
