EPMA’s 28th General Assembly to take place in Barcelona

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that its 28th General Assembly will take place in Barcelona, Spain, June 12, 2015. The EPMA Board and Council meetings will precede the General Assembly on June 11.

A keynote presentation from Guy Thiran, Director General Eurometaux, will look the impact of current and future EU legislation on the PM industry. Thiran will address developments in the fields of environment, health and safety that have a direct impact on the classification, marketing and use conditions of metals. The forthcoming EU climate change policy will also be reviewed as well as important developments intended to drive a significant move towards a ‘circular economy’.

There will also be an open meeting of the EPMA’s European Structural Parts Group (ESPG) which will include a presentation on the status of the groups club project “Harmonisation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for Fe Base Metal Powders and Metal Powder Mixes for Uses in PM Processes”.
