The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that a new ‘Keynote Paper Award’ has been introduced for keynote papers at its Euro PM2013 conference in Gothenburg, Sweden, 15-18 September.

Kate Blackbourne, EPMA Congress Manager, stated, “In our aim to continuously maintain and improve the quality of the technical content at Euro PM events, Euro PM2013 will see the introduction of the EPMA Keynote Paper Award. When the Technical Programme Committee meet in March, they will carefully shortlist a selection of submitted abstracts, of which five will go on to earn the prestigious accolade of Keynote status at Euro PM2013.”

Keynote paper authors will receive an extended 30 minute slot for their presentation at the beginning of the relevant session and the papers will be published in the journal Powder Metallurgy, which is also sponsoring a €250 prize for each of the five successful Keynote papers selected.

There will be one Keynote paper award for each of the following topics:

  • PM Structural Parts
  • Hard Materials and Diamond Tools
  • Hot Isostatic Pressing
  • New Materials and Applications
  • Powder Injection Moulding

The final day for submitting abstracts is 6 February 2013. More information on Euro PM2013 www.epma.com/pm2013
