Dorst has announced the launch of its latest Powder Metallurgy press, the Dorst TPA 500/4HP NEXT. The new TPA Series 4.0 will reportedly offer customers more efficiency, greater precision and speed, and better operator support, while taking up less floor space than its predecessors. The company is inviting its customers to attend a live demonstration of the new press at Dorst’s headquarters in Kochel am See, Germany, from June 19-23, 2017.

It was stated that the TPA 500/4HP NEXT metal powder press has been designed to meet and tackle the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. In addition to enhanced performance, a new part handling robot will be capable of measuring and recording both part weight and height in real time before it leaves the press.

The new Series 4.0 updates the company’s existing range of metal powder presses. According to Dorst, almost 300 of its current TPA/3HP series presses are in operation around the world, making it the companies most successful CNC metal powder press series.
