Continued growth trend for Powder Metallurgy in China

The Chinese PM parts industry recorded further gains in the first quarter of 2011, states the China Machine Powder Metallurgy Association (CMPMA). Production was said to have increased by 24.3% in the first 3 months of this year to 40,088 tonnes compared with the 32,243 tonnes reported for the same period in 2010.
Output value for the PM parts in the 1st quarter 2011 was put at Yuan 131,764 million ($20.268 million), an increase of 30% over the same period in 2010. Exports of PM parts increased by 51% to reach Yuan 14,682 million. Some 50 PM enterprises were said to have reported their figures to the CMPMA.
