Cloyes Gear & Products awarded GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award

Cloyes Gear & Products, a supplier of numerous sintered and machined engine components and timing kits, has won a General Motors (GM) Supplier Quality Excellence Award for 2013. The award was presented to Cloyes at a recent ceremony in Troy, Michigan, USA.

GM’s Supplier Quality Excellence Award is focused on improving collaboration with suppliers. Winning suppliers meet more than 12 quality criteria during a one year period. Of GM’s 2,300 suppliers within US and Canada, 9% of these suppliers achieved the ‘excellence’ category.
Headquartered in Arkansas, USA, Cloyes has three manufacturing facilities and employs 900 people. The company has been a long time Tier 1 supplier, being a high volume manufacturer of automotive timing drive systems and related components.
