In order to support the preparation of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Technological Innovation Engineering, commissioned by the Department of Achievement Transformation and Regional Innovation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance Collaborative Development Network recently held a symposium on the development of the plan in Beijing, China.

Han Wei, Secretary General of the Powder Metallurgy Industry Technology Innovation Strategy Alliance, was invited to attend the symposium, which was also attended by researchers from the Institute of Science and Technology Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Great Wall Enterprise Strategy Research Institute, as well as representatives of numerous other industry alliances.

The participants put forward suggestions and discussed how to help solve technical problems found in various fields, how to further support the implementation of the national technological innovation project plan during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and the evaluation of the activity of the alliance.

The meeting stressed that the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Technological Innovation Project is of great significance to build a consensus on development. The partners should play an important role in promoting industrial technology innovation, should be encouraged to participate in the preparation of key technology R&D, and support the alliance to lead the organisation of key technology research and technology plans for common industrial technology.

The meeting reiterated that the strategic alliance of industrial technology innovation, as one of the three carriers of national technological innovation engineering, has become a new type of technological innovation organisation in promoting major technological innovation in their respective industries and promoting collaborative innovation in industry and research after more than ten years of healthy development.
