Change in Hilti’s Board of Directors

Hilti Corporation, based in Schaan, Liechtenstein, has announced that in December this year Barbara Milian Thoralfsson will join the company’s Board of Directors. The appointment will follow the departure of Prof Dr Giorgio Behr, who will leave Hilti’s Board of Directors after 21 years of service.

Thoralfsson has many years’ experience of industry and already serves on the boards of Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA AB), a leading global hygiene and forest products company, and Telenor ASA, a leading international mobile operator with operations in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Asia.

During her professional career, Thoralfsson has held key positions for a number of US as well as European companies. She has CEO and senior level management experience in the telecom and fast moving consumer goods industries and extensive experience as a non-executive director with public and privately held global companies across diverse industries.

After the Annual General Meeting in March 2015, the Board of Directors of Hilti Corporation, under the chairmanship of Prof Dr Pius Baschera (Zurich, CH), will be comprised of the following members: Michael Hilti (Schaan, FL), Barbara Milian Thoralfsson (Oslo, NO), Kim Fausing (Sonderborg, DK), Heinrich Fischer (Rüschlikon, CH), Dr. Michael Jacobi (Binningen, CH) and Dr. Tis Prager (Zumikon, CH).
