Ceramitec 2018 conference programme now available

March 13, 2018

The full conference programme for Ceramitec 2018, the international trade fair for the ceramics industry, is now available. The event is set to run from April 10-13, 2018, at Messe München, Munich, Germany, and will include a Powder Metallurgy day on Tuesday, April 10.

It is reported that the event will host 600 exhibitors from 37 countries, including representatives from the fields of Powder Metallurgy and Powder Injection Moulding. 15,000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition, with 4,000 also expected to attend the adjacent conference programme.

The Powder Metallurgy day will feature keynotes from several speakers from the industry and academia, who will address various questions covering all aspects of PM as well as Additive Manufacturing.

Among those topics of particular concern will be ways in which the PM industry can take advantage of opportunities in the automotive industry, as well as how manufacturers can tackle issues such as increases in the prices of alloy elements like nickel and molybdenum, and higher sintering temperatures for advanced applications. Innovations in Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) plants are also expected to be showcased by several companies during the exhibition.

Attendance of specialist lectures and panel discussions is free of charge for all trade show visitors. The full conference programme is available to view via the event website.
