CADS Additive partners with m4p material solutions to optimise qualification of powder quality parameters

December 2, 2020

CADS Additive GmbH, Perg, Austria, a manufacturer of high-performance data processing algorithms, services and software for Additive Manufacturing processes, have partnered with m4p material solutions GmbH, a powder technology and service provider located in Austria and Germany, in order to optimise industry productivity and standards using the AM-Studio software for the qualification of powder quality parameters.

The AM-Studio developed by CADS Additive is a data preparation suite for converting CAD data into AM machine code. The company explains that its white label version is already largely integrated and approved in various construction programs and the modern and visionary design workflow of this stand-alone version supports the user and operator interactively for “First Time Right” success.

The core features of AM-Studio are support geometries, layer data generation, and highly-developed algorithms for optimised part orientation — all of which work at maximum computing speed with minimal memory requirements. CADS Additive states that this development is already a groundbreaking, turnkey innovation.

m4p is a metal powder supplier for metal AM machine manufacturers such as EOS, SLM Solutions, DMG-ReaLizer, Renishaw, and Sisma-Trumpf is regularly expanding its material portfolio.

Dr Andreas Pelz, CTO of m4p, stated, “In order to be able to meet all the needs of our customers and the requirements of the market, we at m4p need a flexible, easy-to-use and independent tool that is designed to connect the developed parameters for materials with as many AM metal systems as possible and to translate.”

Peter Leitner, Head of Innovation at CADS Additive, commented, “The direct connection to m4p and the access to your test and production equipment enables us to steadily stabilise and expand our AM studio performance for advanced industrial production processes. In addition, the cooperation gives us direct feedback from the market through an experienced team.”

“The partnership with m4p makes CADS Additive a better software solution provider in the AM environment,” Leitner concluded.
