Bodycote, a key provider of heat treatment and specialist thermal processing services, has received Nadcap aerospace accreditation for its HIP facility at Surahammar, Sweden.

The Surahammar site produces Powdermet® Near Net Shape (NNS) and Selective Surface Net Shape (SSNS) components, including complex, high-integrity parts, and serves markets such as the subsea, oil and gas, marine, nuclear, tool steel and automotive industries.

Bodycote HIP now has nine Nadcap-accredited sites globally. The company operates what it says is the world’s largest network of HIP equipment and states that it is continuing to invest in the technology to keep up with growing demand.

In addition to standard quality and environmental accreditations, Bodycote’s HIP facilities also hold ASTM and NORSOK accreditations.
