BASF to showcase its carbonyl iron powder at PM China 2014

BASF has announced plans to exhibit at the China International Powder Metallurgy Exhibition & Conference (PM China 2014), April 27-29, to be held in Shanghai, China. During the event BASF will present its Carbonyl Iron Powder (CIP) range for Powder Metallurgy (PM) applications along with its Catamold® feedstock for Metal Injection Moulding (MIM).
The carbonyl iron powder from BASF is reported as being an exceptionally fine and pure iron powder with unique morphological properties. BASF discovered the process of producing carbonyl iron powder 85 years ago, and is still the world’s leading producer of CIP.
“With excellent batch-to-batch consistency and excellent electrical property, BASF carbonyl iron powder is the optimum solution for many applications including inductor core, metal powder injection, diamond tools, food additive, and microwaves and radar absorption,” stated the company.
