Atlas Pressed Metals expands team

Atlas Pressed Metals, a manufacturer of precision Powder Metallurgy products and associated services based in DuBois, Pennsylvania, USA, has announced new members of staff in its Production, Engineering, Accounting and Sales teams.
Thomas Krug Sr. has joined the company as Production Coordinator and brings more than 35 years of manufacturing experience to the company. Most recently Krug served as Quality manager for Industrial Harness Company in Shippensburg, USA.
As Production Coordinator, Krug is responsible for directing the manufacturing force, the equipment and secondary operations of the sintering through the shipping departments in order to maintain and improve upon the manufacturing schedule.
John Sarick, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, is the latest addition to Atlas’ engineering team. Sarick has held various roles of increasing responsibility through his 20-year PM career including product, application, design, and staff engineering positions. More recently, Sarick has held quality manager and engineering manager roles and has extensive experience in the automotive industry.
Sarick will be responsible for the design and development of new components and will monitor and evaluate the performance of components for Atlas’ customers in the automotive, lawn and garden, and appliance industries.
“After 18 years spent between North Carolina and New York, it feels good to return to the area and reconnect with familiar faces in the PM industry. Atlas could not have been a better fit,” stated Sarick.
Stephanie Smith has been added to the accounting and finance staff at Atlas. Smith brings over 15 years of experience in accounting and project management to Atlas, from both the manufacturing and finance/insurance business sectors. As cost accountant, Smith is responsible for analysing production costs and efficiency, and working toward goals for improving on those targets.
Erin Dixon Heath recently joined the Atlas sales team as Business Development Manager after more than 15 years in the public sector as a strategic manufacturing and business advisor, most recently as part of the federal Manufacturing Extension Partnership program. She has been a strong regional advocate for ongoing technical training, research, funding and technology deployment within the PM industry. Heath has a dual degree in Journalism and Communications from Indiana University of PA and holds certificates in financial management, procedures, and economic development.
In her new role as Business Development Manager, Heath will be responsible for corporate communications, new customer and market development, and direct sales.
