000931Yuelong Superfine Metal Co., Ltd (YSM) is a leading manufacturer of Carbonyl Iron Powder, a versatile raw material with a variety of applications in hi-tech industries.

With a high level of automation, advanced technology and strict quality assurance systems, YSM has a capacity of CIP 3000MT/a – ranking it number one in China. Under the trademark ‘Yuelong Powder’ the business scope has expanded to atomized iron powder and atomized stainless steel powder.

000929YSM is private-owned and was founded in 2003 by the acquisition of sophisticated technology from a reshuffled state military plant. Headquartered in Guangzhou, YSM has established a production base occupying 10 hectares in Jiangxi Province. Located in Foshan, Guangdong Province, is the Global Business Unit in charge of overseas markets, operated under the name of Vanda International Industry (HK) Ltd. A European sales office is set up near Saarbruecken, in southwest Germany.

YSM is dedicated to offering outstanding quality and cost-effective carbonyl iron powder for customers’ specific applications.

000930Applications of Carbonyl Iron Powder are varied. In electronics, CIP is used to manufacture magnetic cores for high-frequency chokes and inductors. It is also a component of the radar absorbing materials used in military stealth vehicles, for example. Other uses are in powder metallurgy, metal injection molded parts, and in various specialty products. In pharmaceutics, CIP is used to treat iron deficiency and as an iron dietary supplement. Particles of carbonyl iron suspended in a carrier fluid are used as a magnetorheological fluid.

For years, YSM has been keeping close collaboration with experts and scholars who are willing to work with the company and provide expertise to help improve powder processing technology and make it more compatible for various applications. As a result, lots of prestigious professors from universities and research Institutions have been engaged as consultants for R&D of Yuelong Powders. Prof. Randall M. German with San Diego State University is among one of them.
